What Happens If My Certification Expires?

Aerospace Technical Group certifications are industry-specific and align with aerospace, defense, missile systems, and secure communications fields, which operate within export-controlled environments. As a result, our certifications are only available to U.S. persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or individuals otherwise authorized under U.S. law).
This policy ensures our certifications remain aligned with industry standards and hiring requirements in sectors where export compliance is a fundamental expectation.

You may call or email us to set up testing schedule, apply to proctor your group on-site, request a proctor to travel to your site, and set up payment.

At this time we are not, but we are working towards it. In the meantime we look forward to working with active military and veterans every way that we can to provide them with opportunities to become certified when affordability is an issue.
We highly encourage you to continue checking your COOL website for updates and to search all listings.

At this time, we do not accept GI Bill payments for certification exams. We are in the process of reviewing the requirements for approval.
Alternative Payment Options:
Until GI Bill funding becomes available, candidates can pay using:

Reimbursement through military or employer education programs

Candidates must meet eligibility criteria and pass the certification exam to obtain certification. Maintaining certification requires compliance with recertification policies, including proof of continued professional activity, meaningful work, or completion of a renewal assessment.
If a candidate receives an adverse decision regarding eligibility or certification, they have the right to request reconsideration through a formal appeals process. The appeals process ensures an unbiased review of the decision.

The ATG provides reasonable accommodations for candidates with documented disabilities or other special needs. Requests for accommodations must be submitted during the application process, accompanied by appropriate documentation. Accommodations are evaluated and implemented on a case-by-case basis to ensure fairness.

Submitting a Complaint
If you believe a certified individual acted in a way that violates ATG’s standards or demonstrated a lack of knowledge, professionalism, or ethical practice, you may submit a formal complaint. Complaints may include, but are not limited to:
Termination of employment due to unethical or unprofessional conduct.
Alleged failure to demonstrate the knowledge or standards required by ARA certification.
Misrepresentation of certification status or unauthorized use of certification credentials.
How to Submit:
All complaints must be submitted via email to complaints@americanrecruiterassociation.org. Please include:The full name, certification number (if available), and organization of the individual in question.
A detailed description of the incident or concern, including dates, times, and any supporting documentation.
Your contact information for follow-up (all submissions will remain confidential).
Review Process
Once a complaint is received:
Initial Review: ATG will conduct a preliminary review to determine whether the complaint falls within the scope of our certification standards.
Investigation: If warranted, the complaint will undergo an impartial investigation, which may include reviewing submitted documentation, contacting involved parties, and evaluating the situation against ATG standards.
Resolution: Outcomes may include:
Dismissal of the complaint if standards are upheld.
Issuance of warnings or required corrective actions for the certified individual.
Revocation or suspension of certification if violations are severe or recurring.
Confidentiality and Fairness
ARA ensures that all complaints are handled with the utmost confidentiality and impartiality. The accused individual will have an opportunity to respond to the complaint during the investigation.
Appeals
If a certified individual disputes the outcome of a disciplinary action, they may appeal the decision by following ATG’s appeals process, outlined in the candidate handbook.
