About the Board
- What advisors do: meet quarterly for the first year, then yearly, to surface new findings, evidence, and issues and decide whether the standard needs to change. Between meetings, you're called on only as a specific need arises.
- Paid work: advisors are typically paid as consultants for the hours they work or the projects they take on, and get first look at paid engagements as the credential is funded.
- Recognition: a public seat, listed with the title of your choosing.
- Who we're looking for: people who've done the work — field operators, maintainers, RF and network engineers, instructors, and commercial operators. We want a board that won't always agree, and lets the data settle it.
- You don't need to be on the Tactical SATCOM Credentialing Committee to apply, and serving on it doesn't guarantee a seat. Selected advisors sign a Board Agreement and complete a full conflict-of-interest disclosure.
